In a video that emerged online on Thursday, January 5, several angry women from Bokkos local government in Plateau State were seen staging a huge protest.
The women set fire to the home of the traditional ruler in their community.
The act was in protest over the arrest of some community members, who are alleged to be involved in the recent spate of killings in Plateau, where over 150 people were confirmed dead.
The video was shared by an X user # kc_journalist on his handle on Friday, January 5.
He wrote: “Angry women burn down Bokkos Traditional Ruler’s house over the arrest of some members of the community for their alleged involvement in the recent killings in Plateau where over 150 people were confirmed dead.
“They accused the traditional ruler of being a sellout.”
