Controversial Nigerian activist, Martins Otse aka VeryDarkMan has thrown his weight behind iconic singer, Tubaba following the backlash he has been receiving after he announced his divorce from Annie Idibia.

VeryDarkMan took issue with Toke Makinwa’s public criticism of 2Baba, describing her comments as an attack on the artist.

Toke Makinwa had expressed her disapproval of 2Baba’s decision to share his marital issues publicly, calling it insensitive and poor judgment.

However, VeryDarkMan argued that Toke and other “concerned female voices” were unfairly judging 2Baba while ignoring the complexities of the marriage.

He also questioned the double standards at play, suggesting that both 2Baba and Annie Idibia shared culpability in the breakdown of their marriage.

VeryDarkMan further stated that Annie had ignored red flags in the relationship and was “obsessed” with 2Baba.

He captioned his video;

”Dear Toke Makinwa and other woman make una leave 2face oo, no be by force,why the double standards well for me both of them were never meant for each other (Annie ignored all red flags they were never meant to be a thing, aunty was obsessed.”
