A Nigerian man identified as Christian Edozie, who is the father of the 16-year-old boy r*aped by a hotel owner in Lagos, said he was still in shocked and traumatized by the incident that happened to his son.

Opara Macdonald, the Chief Executive Officer of Leuven Empire Hotel and Suites in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State, s*xually assaulted Edozie’s son. The matter was reported to the Nigerian Police Force after the teenager confided in his mother.

“There are some calls that I don’t receive because of the shock of the trauma and everything. My head is full”,  he said during a brief interview over the weekend.
The Lagos State Police Zone 2 confirmed that the accused has been charged to court while the investigation into the matter remains ongoing.

Opara was arrested following a petition filed by Edozie. According to the police, preliminary investigations revealed that Opara lured the minor who came to record TikTok videos at his hotel to his residence, where he s*xually assaulted him.

He also allegedly gave the teenage boy  5000 naira and a bottle of Lucozade Boost, an energy drink. Opara then allegedly threatened the minor against disclosing the incident to anyone, warning thah he  would run mad if he told anyone.

“The victim narrated how the suspect had taken him from the hotel in his vehicle to his residence at No. 4B, Oshoba Street, Akowonjo-Egbeda, Lagos, where he was forcefully subjected to unlawful s*xual acts,” a police spokesperson told journalists during a recent press briefing. Upon this revelation, the victim’s parents reported the matter to the Isheri-Osun Police Division.”.

In an interview with the police,  Opara confessed to having s*x with the minor. The teenage boy was examined by specialists at the Mirabel Centre, and police said he was severely traumatised from the incident.

“I swear in my life that all I had with him was s*x,” Opara said while he was being interrogated. “I swear on the graves of my parents and in the name of my children that I did nothing ritualistic.. I didn’t take him to a shrine, didn’t take his picture, nor did I make any oath or perform any ritual against this boy. My money is clean.”
