In what will come across as a really heartbreaking development, the decomposing body of Hon. Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly who was recently declared missing, has been found.
According to Daily Post, it was learnt on Thursday morning that the body was found at the 2nd Niger Bridge by a combined security team.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the state, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the unfortunate incident to DAILY POST in a text message.
He said: “Yes, our operatives are currently at the scene. As soon as I get more details, I will keep you updated.”
The lawmaker representing Onitsha I North constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly was kidnapped by gunmen on December 24, 2024.
He was reportedly abducted while returning home on Ugwunaobankpa Road in Inland Town, Onitsha.
